Year 4 - River Demonstration

This week, Year 4 participated in a river demonstration. It involved using a large tarpaulin draped over different sized objects to create a river basin. As water poured down from the highest part of the tarpaulin, we described the route of the water as it left the source. Tributaries joined larger streams of water at confluences and then water flooded exposed river banks. Finally, the water reached the mouth of the river and ended up in a sea or lake.
