Year 4 - Philosophy for Children
Today, 4W took part in an exciting Philosophy session with Anne de A’Echevarria. Anne is an expert in the Keystone pedagogy Philosophy for Children and works with both children and adults across the North.
During the session, the children were taken on an imaginative journey through space, where they searched for a new home. Along the way, they were challenged to work out how to teach a computer the meaning of bravery. Later, they were captured by aliens and had to convince them that eating humans is wrong!
4W thoroughly enjoyed philosophising and can’t wait to tackle even more challenging questions in the future. 4H and 4AS will take part in the same session at a later date, led by Mr Watson.
