Year 2's Snakes and Ladders

In Maths this week, children created their own Snakes and Ladders game. They began by filling in the 100 square with a range of addition and subtraction calculations. Children drew the typical features found in a game, such as a long snake across the board and a ladder to help climb to victory! Finally, they had a go at playing the game using their knowledge of the tens and ones column to support them.

"It can be tricky to add numbers when it travels over 10, that's why we need to know our number bonds." Gabriella
