Year 1 Take One Picture

Children have had a very busy half term, working together to create a wonderful range of artwork for our Take One Picture displays. They have enjoyed creating feathers using a variety of media, moulding boats inspired by Grace Darling’s daring rescue, and using oil pastels to create portraits in the style of artist Amber Penney.

Year One also enjoyed a session in the art studio with Mr Watson, where they contributed to our whole-school model of the Sele First mythical creature and Calliope, the muse of Take One Picture. The children had a go at weaving the scales on the dragon’s wings, helping to bring this exciting collaborative artwork to life!
