Y4 Muddy Maths - Perimeter

This week, Y4 started their new 'measures' Maths topic with a Muddy Maths lesson. After learning what perimeter means, children worked in pairs to gather leaves of different sizes and shapes. They estimated which leaves had the largest and smallest perimeters and ordered the leaves in ascending order based on these predictions. Finally, using string and a ruler to measure the perimeter of each leaf in centimetres.
