Y3's History of Hexham's Marketplace

A huge thank you to Northumberland Archives who worked with a group of Year 3 children over the course of 3 weeks, learning how to use archives and about life in their local manor.

Children took part in 3 workshops. They visited the Marketplace, examined archives and used photographs and oral histories to discover more about the past. This research culminated in the creation of a stop motion animation to show changes to/scenes from the marketplace.
