In Art this half term, children have created their own Great Fire of London model. They began by drawing the skyline on black card and used oil pastels to create flames. The following week, they used red paint to create a fiery background. Using a piece of wooden dowel they hung a leather water bucket (used in 1666) to create the illusion of putting out the flames amongst the houses.
