The Earth and 3D Shapes

As Reception begin their topic, Maps Maps Maps, they began with the world! Children loved looking at world maps and globes, identifying animals in different continents and noticing land, sea and desert. They created suncatcher globes and wrote post-it notes about things and people they love on Earth.

Alongside this, Reception are learning the names of 3D shapes with shape hunts, songs and practical resources.
