Our week in Nursery
Nursery have been looking at the Take One Picture- The Courtyard of a House in Delft by Pieter de Hooch.
We talked about what we could see and the children came up with some very interesting observations. "Pirates could be there. There is a pirate bucket!"
We have explored colour mixing, noticing the bricks in the picture were not all the same colours.
We explored what happens when you add white to a colour, creating our own lighter colours of red and orange.
We have been doing 'big mark making' using a crayon in each hand and making up and down marks on the big paper. It was harder than it looked, we needed strong arms!
On Friday morning Nursery enjoyed a session using the equipment on the big yard. Some super climbing!
