Muddy Science in Year 2
This week in Science, children continued to explore materials and their properties.
They used outdoor spaces to identify and sort items found on the playground and the garden into groups. Some examples included, natural and manmade, hard and soft, transparent and opaque.
Children then worked in teams to hunt for items based on their properties such as waterproof, rough and opaque.
In class, they discussed why certain objects are made from different materials.
What material would you use to make an umbrella and why?
