Minibeasts in Reception
Reception have enthusiastically begun their half term of work on Minibeasts with the arrival of the caterpillars! They can't wait to see the chrysalis' form and for the caterpillars to transform.
We have also learnt a lot about bees this week. From the worker bees who collect the nectar, to the guard bees who protect the hive, children have written an array of interesting facts. Did you know that a bee has 2 stomachs? Did you know that a bee does a waggle dance? Did you know that the scout bees search for good places to find food?
In Maths, children practised sharing amounts into equal groups, representing their answers in their chosen ways.
Next week, we are looking at snails!
